The Independent’s front page is dominated by the infighting within the Tory party as Prime Minister Liz Truss struggles to keep her party in line, following an attempted coup, talks of resignations and claims she’ll be out before Christmas. 

The left-wing paper picks up on grant Shapps’s comments that Truss has 10 days to save her premiership. 

The paper says she is fighting for her political life after the Conservative Party conference saw a breakdown of cabinet discipline and the first signs of organised opposition to her agenda.
