Wake up, Piers Morgan, your Twitter has been hacked! (Picture: TalkTV)
Surely it will only be a matter of time before Piers Morgan furiously reaches out to Elon Musk for help after his Twitter appeared to be hacked overnight.
The controversial journalist’s account posted a string of shocking tweets in the early hours of December 27, including an incredibly offensive racial slur.
Morgan’s profile picture has also been removed so that it shows a generic avatar, as has his Twitter bio.
It seems as though the 55-year-old broadcaster’s Instagram account has not been affected, with many followers rushing to comment on his last photo to alert him to the hack.
‘Someone’s playing with your Twitter and deleted your 47 million views tweet,’ one wrote, while another urged: ‘Wake up and open your Twitter.’
A third said: ‘Imagine getting hacked on Twitter.’

Morgan has yet to speak out on the matter and take back control of his Twitter account.
The presenter has been vocal in his support of Twitter CEO Musk taking over the social media site in recent weeks.
At the beginning of the month, he said: ‘Best thing about @elonmusk buying Twitter is that all the smug, irritating, self-righteous ultra-woke people you’d most want to exit the platform are now leaving!’
The hack comes just days after Morgan kissed goodbye to his TalkTV show for the Christmas period.

Before he signed off, he interviewed Andrew Tate – who was banned from several social media platforms this year over allegations of hate speech – over his view on Jeremy Clarkson’s Meghan Markle Column, in which he said he ‘hated’ the Duchess of Sussex on a ‘cellular level’.
Tate insisted that Clarkson shouldn’t apologise for the piece, which has since become the Independent Press Standards Organisation’s most-complained about article ever.
He told Morgan: ‘Personally I think as a man you should stand up say what you mean, mean what you say.

‘I don’t think you should apologise for anything you’ve ever said…’
He added: ‘If you truly regret it, then ok you can apologise, but if at the time you meant it, the best thing you can do is say, look I changed my mind, I no longer feel that way, but at the time that’s how I felt and I’m a person who says what they feel and that’s what I felt at the time and I apologise it offended you.’
