Amazon has taken down a photoshopped image of Prince George that was being used to sell a £19.99 toy machete and axe.
A shopper said he was shocked to stumble upon ‘Prince George looking like an extra from Pirates of the Caribbean’ while browsing the site for his grandchildren.
The image used was originally taken by Matt Porteous and released by the Royal Family for the future King’s third birthday back in 2016.
It shows him wearing a striped, whale-logo Pepa & Co jumper and grey shorts – while the mocked-up image has him holding the wooden toy machete.
A firm called Zhou-long was using the advert, The Sun reports.
Amazon customer Frank Aldridge said: ‘I nearly dropped my cup of tea while I was browsing present ideas for my grandkids.
‘There was Prince George looking like an extra from Pirates of the Caribbean. I don’t suppose this has the royal seal of approval.’
One buyer said their children ‘absolutely loved the sword and axe’ which were ‘both of very good quality’.

But another wasn’t impressed, saying: ‘My son loves these but unfortunately they are utter rubbish.
‘He has played with these for around an hour and they have fallen to pieces. He didn’t hit anything, just swung them about.
‘Don’t bother unless you have a glue gun or wood glue to fix them.’
A spokesperson from Amazon said the image in question has been removed.
‘All sellers must follow our guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account’, they added.
Buckingham Palace and Zhou-long have been contacted for comment.
