Peter Kay is certainly a man in high demand as he added more dates to his ever-growing tour just moments after the new spate of shows went on sale.
Fans rushed to ticket-selling sites on Sunday morning in hopes of snapping up the chance to watch Peter, 49, return to the stage in 2023 and beyond.
The beloved comedian launched his comeback tour this month but he’ll be performing all across the UK until 2024, including a monthly residency at London’s O2 Arena.
On Thursday, he announced a bunch of new dates taking place in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Glasgow.
Well, those were quickly snapped up as they went on sale at 10am on Sunday and within the hour, Ticketmaster announced there were additional dates added due to the high demand.
A message on their Twitter account read: ‘Wow – lots of you looking for Peter Kay tickets this morning. We’ve just announced new dates in Birmingham (5 Dec 2025), Leeds (7 March 2025), Manchester (21 March 2025) and Sheffield (2 May 2025).’
It came after many complained of lengthy queues, with one tweeting: ‘60,000 ahead of me. Good luck.’
Another frustrated fan wrote: ‘Sat in the queue for ages , started of at over 51000 , get to front no tickets in Glasgow for any date ! Try Newcastle and now 14999 in the Q! Advised to try resale , something not right here !’
Missing out on bagging the coveted tickets, one said: ‘Join the queue at 5 to 10 was on hold for 57 minutes. Only to be told no availability. Absolutely gutted.’

A particularly fuming fan wrote: ‘What a joke, waited 40 mins in queue to find they had sold out. There were 8800 in queue for one show at at venue that holds almost double that! Ticket purchases should be limited to give everyone a fair chance ! People buying 10 at a time to no doubt re-sale on a a huge profit! [sic].’
Speaking on Sara Cox’s drivetime show on BBC Radio 2 last week, the funnyman said he was ‘so thankful’ to fans who had bought tickets so far, and to those who came to his first gig in Manchester.
Peter had teased the ‘big announcement’ earlier this week, saying in a statement that ‘everybody deserves a bit of joy.’
Tickets for the tour are especially in high demand after Peter nobly set them at the low price of just £35 to help those watching the pennies during the cost of living crisis.
