Remember when Peter Kay was in a music video with Jimmy Savile? Well, it’s something Peter himself tries to forget.
The comic is currently touring the country with his Better Late Than Never tour, for which he’s had to release more tickets twice over after astonishing demand.
It marks Peter’s first stand-up tour in over a decade, and he’s been met with nothing but love after stepping away from the spotlight over recent years due to personal reasons.
Continuing to make people cry with laughter, the northern star, 49, has plenty of material up his sleeve, some of which involves a trip down memory lane through his career.
Of course, Peter appeared in the (Is This The Way To) Amarillo music video back in 2005 to raise money for charity.
However, Peter is fuming over how his cameo for the upbeat Tony Christie tune has been tarnished by sexual predator Savile.

Ripping into the disgraced DJ – who died in 2011, aged 84 – he supposedly told the crowd at his comeback tour: ‘Very popular at kids’ parties.
‘Number one for seven weeks, biggest-selling song of that year and now thanks to Jimmy Savile it’s on YouTube with a paedophile warning.’
‘Thanks for that Jimmy… dirty s***house,’ he blasted, in quotes published by the Daily Star.
‘I can’t believe that. He was in the video.’

Saville – who was found to be one of Britain’s most prolific sex offenders following his death – wasn’t the only celebrity in the music video, as the likes of Sir Cliff Richard also starred.
Following Savile’s death, TV networks have aired a new version of the Amarillo video in which he has been edited out.
Beloved comedian Peter launched his comeback tour this month in Manchester, but he’ll be on the road for a while, with shows scheduled right through until 2024.
As well as multiple shows in several venues up and down the UK, he’ll also play a monthly residency at London’s O2 Arena.Â

On Thursday, he announced a bunch of new dates taking place in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Glasgow.Â
The stand-up icon has been left overwhelmed by the response to his tour, describing his first set of gigs as ‘incredible’ and ‘such a happy experience.’
He was even moved to tears when the first crowd gave him a standing ovation, delighted to see Peter back in action after so long away.

However, if you’re hoping to snatch tickets for his extra dates when they go on sale, you’ll have to be quick, as fans have been left raging over online queues.
Tickets for the tour are especially in high demand after Peter nobly set them at the low price of just £35 amid the cost of living crisis.
