Paul Rudd might be one of the most recognizable faces on the planet, but it turns out that his children had no clue of his fame.
The Marvel actor shares son Jack, 17, and daughter Darby, 13 with wife Julie Yaeger, who he married in 2003.
The couple have made sure to keep their family life firmly behind closed doors.
In a new interview ahead of the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the 53-year-old opened up about his career so far, and what his children make of his stint on our screen.
‘When my kids were very young – I’m not going to sit my kids down when they’re 3 and say, “You know, I’ve got some DVDs to show you,”’ he explained. ‘I didn’t really explain what I did.’
He recalled a moment when his son was much younger and they went to the cinema with his friends, when they spotted a poster for one of his films.

‘We were all going, and there was a movie poster that I was on that was in the lobby,’ he continued in a clip from Sunday Today, via People Magazine.
‘So they all just thought that I worked at the movie theater, which I thought was very cute.
‘And then, a few years later, I think when he was 15, he finally put it all together.’
‘I never corrected him,’ he added, joking that he would say: ‘I work at the AMC Lowes.’

Paul has been on our screens for more than two decades, appearing in Romeo + Juliet, Clueless, Knocked Up, Anchorman and guest-starred as Phoebe Buffay’s partner, Mike Hannigan, on Friends.
Side note: He hasn’t aged a day in all that time.
In 2015, he made his Marvel debut as Ant-Man, and has gone on to appear in the Avengers, as well as leading his own superhero flicks.

However, in a candid chat with People, he insisted that his kids ‘don’t care’ about his Marvel credentials.
‘I think I’m dad more than I’m Ant-Man or in the MCU,’ he vowed.
‘They don’t care, nor should they.’
