Manchester United face a battle to keep Marcus Rashford at the club as Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to offer the forward an eye-watering £850,000-a-week to move to France.
The England forward is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season, though the Red Devils are expected to trigger a 12-month extension clause in his deal.
Should United fail to trigger that clause, Rashford would be free to speak and sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs on January 1st 2023.
Nevertheless, his long-term future at the club remains in doubt and PSG held informal talks with his representatives last summer.
With Rashford’s contract running down, the Ligue 1 giants stand in with a chance of signing the forward on a free transfer and they would be willing to compensate him with eye-watering wages.

According to the Mirror, the French side are willing to make Rashford one of the highest paid players on earth with a weekly salary of £850,000.
That would see Rashford earn around £44.2million-a-year before tax – which is almost four times what he earns in England.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelafi confirmed last week that the club want to sign Rashford.
‘He’s another player that is really amazing,’ said Al-Khelaifi.
‘And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely.
‘We’re not hiding it, we spoke before and… interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides. Maybe, summer, why not?
‘Today if he’s a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the World Cup. Then after in January, hopefully, if we’re interested we will talk to him.’
