Pamela Anderson has attacked the makers of Pam & Tommy but said the Hulu show wasn’t Lily James’ ‘fault’.
The Mamma Mia actress, 33, portrays the Baywatch star, 55, in the series, which is about her and former partner Tommy Lee’s sex tape and their whirlwind marriage in the 1990s.
Lily has previously insisted she got in touch with Scary Movie 3 star prior to filming, insisting that her ‘sole intention was to take care of the story and to play Pamela authentically.’
Meanwhile, the former Playboy model has not commented on the explosive eight-parter until recently, breaking her silence for the first time in the trailer for her upcoming Netflix documentary.
In it, she said she felt ‘sick’ about having her past re-examined, adding: ‘I want to take control of the narrative for the first time. I didn’t feel like I had a lot of respect.
Now Pamela has opened up further about the series, which was made without her collaboration, attracting fierce backlash, including from her friend, Courtney Love, who branded it ‘outrageous.’

Pamela told The Guardian she felt ‘violated’ by the makers but said Lily was just doing a ‘job’.
Speaking about the Cinderella star, she added: ‘I heard she’d been nominated for an Emmy, but maybe that was a joke. It’s not her fault; it’s a job.
‘But whoever created it – well, it just feels like something else stolen.’

The pop culture icon also detailed the pressures she felt in her youth to have plastic surgery after wanting to emulate fellow Playboy models more.
She was told they ‘all have surgery,’ with Pamela explaining: ‘I was like: “Really? Where do I sign up?” Not a lot of thinking went into that decision.’
‘Not a lot of thinking went into anything,’ she added, regretfully.

Looking back on the past two decades since the sex tape was leaked, Pamela said she ‘went missing’ and was ‘MIA even to myself.’
‘I was trying drugs – so not me. I just went off the rails,’ she continued, calling herself ‘difficult’ at work.’

Over the past year, Pamela also revealed she has been on a man detox, with her goal in January 2022 being: ‘Don’t meet any men. Just focus … just be in love with myself.’
She added: ‘Believe me, I’ve been restless. I’ve thought: “Well, maybe I should just call …?” Then: “No.”‘
