Days after being forced to quit I’m A Celebrity, it turns out Olivia Attwood could have another major project in the pipeline.
The former Love Island star – who was devastated to leave the jungle after just 24 hours this week – has reportedly held talks with Big Brother bosses about hosting the reality show reboot when ITV2 brings it back in 2023.
It’s said the 31-year-old star is seen by producers as a ‘natural fit’ and ‘contender’ for the job, although she faces stiff competition from a number of other famous women.
‘Olivia met with ITV2 bosses for talks to host Big Brother earlier in the Autumn. She was one of many presenters who have had meetings about the gig,’ a source told The Sun.
‘It’s one of the most sought-after jobs in the industry right now so it will be a very competitive role to get, but she wanted to throw her hat in the ring and producers definitely see her as a contender.
‘She’d be a natural fit the role – she’s sassy and fun, but also very straight-talking so she wouldn’t be shy of giving any housemates who misbehave a grilling when they are eliminated.’

Olivia is well known to ITV2 viewers both from her time in the Love Island villa and her own documentaries, so it’s said to be ‘no surprise bosses wanted to meet with her about the gig’.
Other names reportedly in the frame to host the show – which has previously been presented by Davina McCall, Brian Dowling, and Emma Willis – include Vick Hope, Emily Atack and Roman Kemp.
Meanwhile, ITV maintain they are yet to settle on a presenter, with a spokesperson telling Metro.co.uk: ‘All suggestions surrounding the host are pure speculation.’

Meanwhile, Olivia had left I’m A Celebrity with ITV saying that she had to leave to ‘undergo some medical checks’ and despite claims she was not allowed to re-enter because of Covid protocols, it’s now been confirmed that was not the case.
Posting on Olivia’s Instagram story this morning, a short statement from a spokesperson simply said ‘For clarity, Olivia did not leave the jungle due to covid reasons’.

The update came after an earlier statement which read, ‘To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement’.
‘She dreamed of doing I’m A Celebrity for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).
‘However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.’
The statement went on to say that people would ‘hear the truth from Olivia in due course’.
Big Brother is coming to ITV2 in 2023.
