Ola Jordan is starting 2023 feeling like the best version of herself after a big weight loss.
The former Strictly Come Dancing pro, 40, and her husband James Jordan, 44, have been open about both of their transformations over recent months, shedding a combined 6.5 stone.
Prior to losing the weight – which she gained after becoming a mum in 2020 and during the pandemic – Ola admitted that her self-esteem was so low that she wouldn’t leave her house.
Now, though, the star has a new lease of life and feels ‘sexier’ than ever.
Speaking about her weight loss journey, Ola said a size 14 was the biggest she’s been.
‘I’m quite short as well so a size 14 for some people isn’t big and that’s the problem with weight and sizes because some people say a 14 isn’t big. But being 5ft3 and a size 14 is big,’ she told Mail Online.

She continued: ‘I’m a size eight now. I missed my old self. There’s nothing wrong with admitting it.
‘People now preach body positivity, and they accept it, but I really missed my old self and that’s not just my body it was with dance and everything else. Health is important for me, and I want to stay healthy for as long as I can.’
Speaking about her new-found confidence, Ola said her sex life with her other half has improved, as she previously ‘didn’t want to be seen’.
‘It’s confidence and even with dressing now I’ll wear nicer clothes. I feel sexy again. I don’t wear my big knickers anymore and I’m wearing my sexier stuff,’ she shared.

‘I have worked hard and I’m really pleased with myself. I’m really happy.’
Former Dancing On Ice contestant James is equally as thrilled for his wife, who he married in 2003.
He said: ‘It’s lovely to see her happy again because everything has been for Ella (their daughter) and she’s now done something for herself.
‘She can now get into all her clothes… it’s just good to see her happier again.’
The lovebirds – who admitted they were eating very unhealthily, which led to their weight gain – credit Latin American and ballroom dancing for their weight loss.

After throwing themselves into a 12-week fitness program – which combines dancing with high-intensity workouts – they also made changes to their diets.
Ola said the family ‘stopped snacking and eating takeaways’, as they were sometimes ‘having takeaways two or three times a week’.

‘We still treat ourselves but we’re mindful and we don’t do it all the time,’ she said, before James shut down speculation that they only lost weight as a cash grab to make a fitness DVD.
‘I can assure you hand on my heart there’s no way I would want to be fat for five years to do a fitness platform.’
