Noel Gallagher didn’t hold back (in anger) as he responded to Matty Healy’s plea for Oasis to get back together.
The 1975 rocker – who is rumoured to be going out with Taylor Swift – recently spoke his mind on the very public feud between Noel and his brother, fellow Oasis member Liam Gallagher.
Brotherly love has been out the window for over a decade between the Don’t Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall hitmakers, who famously haven’t been on speaking terms since they split in 2009.
Back in February the 1975 frontman, 33, spoke his mind on the bickering brothers and pleaded for them to ‘grow up’, put their differences aside, and headline Glastonbury.
In an interview with CBC, a public broadcaster in Canada, Matty said: ‘What are Oasis doing? Can you imagine being in potentially the coolest band in the world, and not doing it because you’re in a mard with your brother?’
Talking about his own band on the release of their then-new album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language, Matty said they ‘mediate tensions’ about being ‘open’ and ‘silly’.

The star then pointed to Oasis for getting ‘so serious’ about being in a band.
‘They’re men of the people and they’re sat around in Little Venice and Highgate, crying over an argument with their brother. Grow up! Headline Glastonbury!’ he said.
‘Do me a favour: Get back together, stop messing around. That’s my public service announcement for today.’
But it appears Matty’s comments passed Noel by until a recent interview with Spin, in which the Live Forever hitmaker was asked what he thought of the 1975 frontman’s call to action.
‘Oh, that f***ing slack-jawed f***wit. What did he say?’ responded 55-year-old Noel.

The journalist explained Matty’s words, to which the indie rocker responded: ‘He would never be able to imagine it. He needs to go over how s*** his band is and split up.’
Ouch. That’s Matty told.
This comes amid rumours that the Manchester siblings could be reuniting ahead of the Oasis’ 30th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe.
But recently Noel squashed the rumours, saying there would be no surprise reunion, disappointing excited fans.
He did, however, urge his brother to pick up the phone, so there could still be a slither of hope sometime in the next 10 years if Liam plays ball.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said last month: ‘There’s a lot of lost time to make up for and both have missed out on ups and downs in each other’s lives.
‘They need to patch up their brotherly bond before they even think about getting back in the studio for an Oasis reunion, but the wheels are in motion.’
