Sydney placed in two-week lockdown as Delta variant surges in city
The i says the Australian city of Sydney has entered a two-week lockdown after a rise in coronavirus infection rates.
A spike in cases has resulted in restrictions that now cover the entire city and some surrounding areas.
The move follows the discovery of more than 80 cases of the highly infectious Delta variant in the city in recent days.
