Mayor Sadiq Khan says wearing a face mask on Tube and buses in London will remain compulsory after 19 July
The i says passengers in London must continue to wear face masks on Tube trains and buses after 19 July despite the end of legal restrictions in England, Sadiq Khan has announced.
The capital’s Mayor claimed the move would give commuters and tourists “reassurance and confidence” and criticised the Government for declining to keep the mask mandate in place nationwide.
No mainline rail operators or private bus companies are planning to keep compulsory masks, meaning that anyone transferring from a commuter train service on to the Tube will have to put on a face covering mid-journey.
