Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ to face same Ofcom rules as the BBC
The Times says Netflix and other streaming services will be regulated by Ofcom for the first time as part of an attempt to “level the playing field” for public service broadcasters such as the BBC and ITV.
Oliver Dowden, the culture secretary, writes in The Times that broadcasters are operating with “one hand tied behind their backs” because they do not have to follow the same rules.
