Covid-19: Melbourne cases controlled, end of lockdown
Melbourne’s Covid-19 lockdown will be relaxed on Thursday night after the public’s adherence to the strict rules “changed the course” of the outbreak in Melbourne.
The city’s five million residents have had to remain at home for all but the most essential reasons over the last two weeks after cases emerged that were linked to the Delta variant.
A few restrictions on travel and gatherings will remain in place for a further week.
