Boris Johnson put under more pressure over No 10 Christmas party claims

The Times says Police should investigate claims of a Christmas party in No 10 last year, a minister has suggested.

Kit Malthouse, the policing minister, said he would “expect the police to have a look” if a complaint had been made as he insisted he took at face value Downing Street’s insistence that no rules had been broken.

The prime minister has not denied reports that members of his team held a party in Downing Street on December 18 last year when London was under Tier 3 restrictions, which banned mixing between households.
