Napoli and Juventus are both interested in signing Chelsea outcast Christian Pulisic, according to reports.

Pulisic has looked set to leave west London for some time now, and could well have done so in January had he not picked up a lengthy knee injury.

Back then, the winger was linked with Manchester United, Newcastle, and Juventus, and although the interest from Premier League clubs has died down, a move to Italy is still on the cards.

According to the Daily Mail, newly crowned Serie A champions Napoli have entered the race to sign the American international alongside Juventus who are currently second in the table.

Though it is not known how much Pulisic would cost, the fact that he has just a year left on his contract and that Chelsea are desperate for funds after spending around £600million over the last season, means he could be available for a reduced fee.

The 24-year-old is desperate to get out of Stamford Bridge having never truly established himself as a starter for the Blues since his £58m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

This season, Pulisic has made 27 appearances across all competitions, but only 10 of them have been starts, with just one goal and two assists to show for his efforts.

In all, he has scored just 26 goals and made 21 assists in 142 games for the Blues, helping them win the Champions League and Club World Cup.

Chelsea will be hoping that Napoli’s interest in him is serious, as they could well use the USA star as part of player-plus-cash deal for highly-coveted striker Victor Osimhen.

The Nigeria international has scored 28 goals in 35 games so far this season, sensational form that has earned him links to the Blues as well as Manchester United.

But with Napoli holding out for £100m for their talisman, Todd Boehly and co. may have to find a creative solution if they want to sign Osimhen.
