Mum stranded in Majorca as Covid rules means daughter, 13, must quarantine for 21 days
The Mirror says: April Allinson tested positive for Covid the day before she was due to return home along with her 13-year-old daughter Ellie and her friend Lilly and are currently in isolation
A fuming mum says she has been left stranded in Majorca after new Covid rules means her teenage daughter must isolate there for 21 days.
April Allinson tested positive for Covid the day before she was due to return home along with her 13-year-old daughter Ellie and her friend Lilly.
All three were forced to spend 10 days of isolation in their hotel room and were due to be freed on Friday and fly back to the UK on Saturday.
But April said the Spanish Embassy has now said the two teenagers must quarantine for a further 10 days – bringing their total isolation period to 21 days, Teeside Live reports.
The beauty business owner, from Stockton-On-Tees, said the authorities have decided the two young girls could have caught Covid while in isolation with April and therefore must remain on the island.
