The Independent splashes on how Britain faces years of higher mortgage rates and a flatlining economy until 2026, according to Bank of England predictions.  The paper says PM Rishi Sunak is on course to meet inflation promises but the BoE predictions offer no relief for struggling borrowers for at least two more years – in what the paper calls a “grim forecast.”
