Ukraine war: More than 20 drones shot down in latest attack
An overnight Russian drone attack has injured at least two people in Kyiv, authorities say.
The Ukrainian airforce says around 20 Iran-made drones were shot down over the city’s airspace.
It marks the third night of attacks in a row on the Ukrainian capital, and came just hours after the end of the Nato summit in Lithuania.
The two injured are in hospital with shrapnel wounds, and debris has been reported in five districts.
Ukraine’s air force reported that two Russian kabibr cruise missiles fired from a ship in the Black Sea were shot down by air defences, while information about the impact of an Iskander-M ballistic missile fired from Crimea was still being collected.
The Nato summit saw the West offer up more support for Ukraine. But not commit to a timeframe as to when Ukraine could join Nato – both the US and Germany appear to be hesitant on Kyiv joining.
