WE’VE BEEN “KILLING IRANIANS FOR TWO YEARS” BOASTS ISRAELI MINISTER
French Broadcaster, France 24 reports an Israeli Minister has boasted that his country is the only one ‘killing Iranians.’ The Ministers boasts are a reference to Israeli strikes in neighbouring Syria targetting Iranian and Hezbollah military targets.
When asked if he thought the US would back Israel if conflict broke out with Israel’s greatest enemy, Iran, the Minister said Tehran would avoid such a scenario. He added: “Israel is the only country in the world that has been killing Iranians for two years.”
The boast comes as tensions between Britain and Iran soar after the latest incident in the Gulf, over the vital waterway. The Minister claims Iran is seeking to create “chaos” and “harm freedom of navigation.”

JAPAN: RULING COALITION SECURES VICTORY IN ELECTIONS FOR JAPAN’S UPPER HOUSE
Arab News leads with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s ruling coalition has secured the majority in Japan’s upper house of parliament in elections held on Sunday. The victory, however, will not reach the super-majority needed to propose constitution revisions, according to the vote counts by media.
The party won 69 seats in the upper house gaining the majority but not the 85 seats needed for the super-majority. The ruling party already has a two-third majority in the lower house, but not gaining control of the upper house restricts Abe’s ability to make constitutional reforms.
Regardless, Abe welcomed the results, saying winning a majority indicates a public mandate for his government.

POLAND: CITY’S FIRST PRIDE PARADE MET WITH ‘FLASH BOMBS, ROCKS AND GLASS BOTTLES’
CNN leads with a Polish city’s first-ever LGBTQ Pride parade on Saturday. There was a stark difference in the tone of the City’s parade as it was met with violence and riot police were visible. 1000 people took part in the parade in the northeastern city of Bialystok as far-right groups and other protesters threw flash bombs, rocks and glass bottles.
Around 4000 people demonstrated against the Pride march with shouts of “ God, honour and motherland” and “Bialystok free of perverts.” The LGBTQ pride marchers chanted back “Poland free of fascists.”
Despite the threats, many of those who marched in the Pride parade said their spirits were not dampened. They described the event as a victory in their fight for equality.

‘STRONGER THAN EVER’ INDIA SET TO RELAUNCH MOON MISSION
RT News brings the exciting news that India is set to launch it’s rescheduled lunar mission. Last week India was forced to cancel their mission, just an hour before due to a “technical snag.” The technical issue has since been reported as a fuel leak.
The Chandrayaan 2 is now set to launch at 2:43 pm local time (9:13 am GMT) on Monday. It will make India the fourth country to land a spacecraft on the moon – along with the US, Russia and China. India is hoping to find usable water on the moon. The mission cost India $140 million- far less than what other nations have spent on similar missions.
“Chandrayaan 2 is ready to take a billion dreams to the Moon- now stronger than ever before.” Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said.
