Mo Salah’s conflicted Barcelona stance could force Liverpool’s hand
The Daily Mirror says Xavi’s first week as Barcelona boss has already brought about the return of Dani Alves, with the Brazilian signing as a free agent.
After months of misery and mediocrity under Ronald Koeman, there is a renewed sense of optimism at the Camp Nou.
The World Cup-winning midfielder will be hoping to make an instant impact, although he has already achieved the task of lifting the malaise at the La Liga giants.
But those positive feelings will only last as long as results on the pitch warrant it. Make no mistake, for all the romanticism of Xavi’s return, he is still expected to build a successful team in the mould of the ones he played in for so many years.
