Gary Lineker’s “stand-off” with the BBC over his tweets has ended in a climbdown by his bosses and with the corporation’s chairman “in the firing line instead”, Metro reports.
The paper reports that Mr Davie has apologised for “grey areas” in the BBC’s guidelines and that Mr Sharp has been accused of being “missing in action” during the crisis.
