The chief executive of Tesco has called on the government to criminalise abuse and violence against shop workers specifically after a surge in attacks, Metro says.
The paper says 850 – up from 450 in 2019, Tesco staff suffer violence and abuse every day. Tesco staff – similar to other chain supermarkets – are set to offer their staff body cameras at work.
