An armed officer who committed multiple rapes was allowed to work in the Metropolitan Police despite a series of complaints about his behaviour over two decades, Metro reports. A workplace nickname Carrick “boasted” about to his victims features in the paper’s report, with the paper describing his offences as “sickening”.
There are also some details about the abuse suffered by his victims, including being locked in a cupboard under Carrick’s stairs and ordered not to eat.
