The Metro leads with law graduate Zara Aleena’s murder, as she walked home. Her killer was freed from jail just nine days before the attack, the paper says. Yesterday Jordan McSweeney was sentenced to life behind bars with a minimum of 38 years. 

The front page features an image of a young man looking shocked as he is pulled from the freezing waters after the dingy he was in began to sink. The paper says 31 people were reduced. Four people died.
