For many, Christmas is all about the turkey and trimmings, but others might find themselves craving a good old McDonald’s.
After all, the company has got into the spirit of things this year. Kind of. Emotionally damaging viewers with their touching ad.
Whether you’re hungry for a Happy Meal or just fancy trying one of the limited-edition festive items, you might be hoping to sneak in a trip to Maccies over the festive season.
But is the fast food chain open? Here’s all you need to know.
McDonald’s Christmas Eve opening hours
McDonald’s will be open Christmas Eve, but hours will vary from branch to branch.
You’ll need to use the online restaurant finder to check your nearest shop’s opening hours. Type in your postcode, pick the restaurant you want to visit and scroll down to click ‘Show Hours’.
There should be an option to see ‘Festive Hours’, covering Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the New Year period.

Using the finder, we’ve noticed a few big city centre branches are operating from 6am until 2am on Friday, December 24 – including the McDonald’s at 291 Oxford Street in London, and Northumberland Street in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Meanwhile, a smaller McDonald’s restaurant on Mare Street in Hackney will open at 6am and close at 10pm – while Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens branch will close at 8pm.
