Matt Hancock’s arrival to the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle has infuriated viewers at home, with many voicing their hurt.
The former health secretary made his debut on the ITV series during Wednesday’s episode, which saw him take part in the Beastly Burrows challenge with newcomer Seann Walsh.
After winning six stars, Mr Hancock was introduced to the other celebrities, who immediately grilled him on his decision to sign up for the show.
Singer Boy George became visibly upset by the politician’s entrance telling Scarlette Douglas his mum was hospitalised during the pandemic.
‘I don’t really know what to do with my feelings, you know, today was obviously quite emotional for me, I don’t know what it will be like,’ he said before later adding: ‘I don’t know if I want to be here.’

Like Boy George, many viewers struggled to come to terms with seeing Mr Hancock in the jungle and expressed their rage on social media.
One viewer wrote: ‘It makes me so angry seeing Matt Hancock in the jungle and EVERYONE pretending like it’s an OK thing for him to be doing & not questioning his despicable record is making it hard for me to watch this year & that makes me sad.
‘I didn’t expect to feel as strongly as this.’
‘How that man has the cheek to go in the jungle is a disgrace,’ another blasted.
‘Man’s a joke! Bad move @itv what he put tue country through during covid is unforgivable.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, a third said: ‘Matt Hancock is in the jungle this isn’t real I feel sick to my stomach.’
