Matt Hancock has been treated by I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! medics after being stung by a scorpion.
The former health secretary, who is set to take on his fifth Bushtucker trial in scenes due to air on Sunday night, was looked after by crew after the predatory arachnid penetrated his finger.
‘Matt was shocked – it’s not every day that a scorpion stings you,’ a source said.
‘He’s already had such an eventful first week in camp after completing trial after trial – and now he’s been treated by the show’s medics too.’
The insider told us: ‘The scorpion was safely removed from camp and thankfully, it wasn’t poisonous.’

Metro.co.uk understands the scenes will air during this evening’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, which will see Hancock take on the House of Horrors.
For this trial, the sitting MP is tasked with navigating an ‘eerie house in the jungle’ full of critters.
In a teaser clip ahead of the instalment, Hancock is seen climbing through a trapdoor into a room swarming with flies before approaching a trough.
‘The thing you don’t know is this really smells too,’ he tells co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

He then gags as he plunges his hands into the offal.
Presenter Ant adds that the room contains 2.5million flies before joking that he counted them individually.
Last night, viewers expressed their outrage after Hancock was voted to take on yet another trial.
