Jeremy Renner has got some good pals in his Marvel co-stars, as they rallied around the Hawkeye star following a horrific accident on his property on January 1.
The actor returned to social media overnight to share an image of himself from his hospital bed, after he underwent surgery for blunt force chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries after he was run over by his own snowplow while helping a family friend.
Jeremy was airlifted to hospital on Sunday in a critical but stable condition and following surgery he shared an update of his condition with his fans on Instagram.
Praising the ‘hard as nails’ actor, his co-stars gathered in the comments to wish Jeremy well with Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt and Paul Bettany among those sending love and well wishes to the 51-year-old, following the recent incident.
Aussie actor Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, wrote: ‘Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way’, while Evans, star of Captain America added: ‘Tough as nails. Love you buddy.’
Pratt, who plays Peter Quill in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, added: ‘Continued prayers your way brutha,’ while British star Paul, who portrayed Vision in the MCU, wrote: ‘Love you mate. Sending you love and healing.’

Marvel directors Taika Waititi and the Russo brothers also wished Jeremy well, with the latter writing: ‘Sending all of our love, brother, and hopes for a speedy recovery.
‘My brother, I love you,’ added Taika.
Other famous faces who sent positive messages included US talk show host Jimmy Fallon, actors Vanessa Hudgens and Penelope Cruz, Orlando Bloom and Heidi Klum.
In his original Instagram post, Jeremy had showed a picture of himself in a hospital bed with a bruised face, telling fans he was ‘too messed up’ to send a longer message.

He wrote: ‘Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.’
In a press conference on Tuesday, Sherrif Darin Balaam said the Avengers actor was assisting a family member outside his home on a snowy mountain on New Year’s Day when he suffered critical injuries in an accident near the Mount Rose Highway, which links Lake Tahoe and south Reno, straddling the Nevada-California border.
Sharing details on the incident, Balaam said: ‘On Sunday morning at 8.55am a 911 call was received for a crash, involving a snowcat vs a pedestrian. The subject has been run over by a snowcat in the area of Mount Rose Highway.’
The sheriff added the evening before 3ft of snow had fallen in the Mount Rose area and multiple cars had been abandoned on the roads, including the highway.

According to the investigation, which is ongoing, Jeremy’s personal vehicle, which was being driven by a family member on a private road, had become stuck.
Jeremy, who is a Washoe County honourary deputy sheriff and much-loved member of the local community, had got his snowcat in an effort to get his vehicle moving, and after successfully towing his personal vehicle, he got out of the snowcat.
‘It’s at this point it’s observed the PistonBully [snowcat] started to roll, he attempted to get back into the driver’s seat of the PistonBully,’ Balaam said. ‘It’s at this point Mr Renner is run over by his PistonBully.’
Balaam went on to note they didn’t suspect any foul play, or that the actor was impaired, and that it was a ‘tragic accident’, while he wished Jeremy a speedy recovery and thanked neighbours for rendering aid in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
He said: ‘There was no doctor on scene, it was good neighbours [who came out with towels] and helped until first responders [were on scene].’
The snowcat is currently impounded as authorities investigate whether any mechanical failures may have caused the snowcat to roll forward.
