Martin and Shirlie Kemp have shared how they kept their big The Masked Singer secret from their two adult children.
The married couple recently revealed their true identities as Cat and Mouse on the popular ITV singing show where contestants conceal their true selves under costumes until the audience votes them out of the show.
Both found fame as singers in the 1980s – Martin was part of Spandau Ballet while Shirlie was in pop group Wham! and Pepsi & Shirlie – and tied the knot in 1988 before giving birth to Harley Moon, 33, and Roman, 29.
On Saturday, the duo’s time on the programme came to an end with a shock reveal as they lifted the heavy costume heads and flashed knowing grins at viewers and the judges.
Branding it ‘the best reveal ever’, not a single panellist came close to guessing the names of the faces under the masks.
Appearing on Loose Women, the cunning couple admitted they worked hard to keep the secret from everyone they knew, including their two children.

Martin credited the fact that Roman and Harley Moon live out of home in helping them remain tight-lipped on their latest endeavour.
He said: ‘My boy and my girl, they don’t live with us anymore, they’ve got their own homes so it was our secret.
‘We were just going out to work every day and they didn’t know about it but it was all to do with like “how good would it be if we could keep it a secret and have that moment we saw”’.
Wife Shirlie then chimed in with: ‘That’s the point of the show.’

She then admitted she was a great secret keeper: ‘I’m a good little actress.’
When questioned over Roman’s initial suspicions that his parents were taking part in the competition, the mother-of-two confirmed her son did speculate but shared: ‘I was deep in denial.
‘I told him I didn’t really like the limelight and I wouldn’t do that type of thing so that’s why Roman was like “you’re lying saying you didn’t like the limelight”’.
The broadcaster’s reaction to finding out what his mum and dad were up to generated a lot of attention for its dramatics after a clip did the social media rounds.
In the video, the breakfast radio show host could be heard screaming: ‘I knew it’ before repeatedly branding his mum a ‘liar’.
The Masked Singer continues at 7pm next Saturday on ITV1.
