Manchester United are set to welcome Marcus Rashford back into the fold for Thursday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford.
The England forward missed Saturday’s win against Bournemouth through illness.
Rashford was unavailable for the visit of Wolves a week earlier and he recovered from that injury, only to miss out against Bournemouth through sickness.
United need a point from their final two matches to secure a Champions League spot, which would be an achievement in Erik ten Hag’s first season at the club.
Ten Hag wants to seal top-four as soon as possible, starting with a victory against Frank Lampard’s side at the Theatre of Dreams on Thursday.
And he’s set to be boosted by the return of Rashford, who was able to train with his team-mates at Carrington today.
Jadon Sancho, Anthony and Anthony Martial have formed the front three in each of the last two matches but United’s finishing has been charitable.
Rashford is likely to start, given there are just two weeks until the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Scott McTominay is in a similar position to Rashford, in that he’s recently returned to action and is in need of game time before the showdown at Wembley.
