Manchester City had a modest turnout of supporters outside the Etihad Stadium after retaining the Premier League title on Saturday – and one fan took the opportunity to fire a dig at Arsenal.
City’s status as Premier League champions has been confirmed with three games to spare after Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal have been accused of ‘bottling’ the Premier League in recent weeks as their eight-point lead at the start of April has been completely wiped out by Pep Guardiola’s side.
In their last eight games, the Gunners have registered just nine out of a possible 24 points, while City have have won 11 consecutive matches in the Premier League to pull clear of their title rivals.
And during the celebrations outside the Etihad on Saturday evening, one fan brought with him a bottle with ‘Arsenal’ written on it.

City, who have won their fifth title in the last six seasons, play Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday afternoon and could open up a seven-point gap between themselves and Arsenal, who have played two games more.
‘To have helped the club win a third straight Premier League title is something very special,’ said City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
‘The Premier League is without doubt the most demanding and competitive league in the world so that tells you everything about what an achievement this is.
