A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead inside a house.
Fiona Robinson was discovered at a property in Chorley, Lancashire in the early hours of Friday morning.
The 37-year-old had suffered multiple injuries and died as a result, according to a Home Office post-mortem.
Police rushed to the address in Congress Street at around 2.30am to reports of a sudden death and Jason Gowen was arrested at the scene.
Officers have since charged Mr Gowen, of Congress Street, with her murder.
He is due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Ms Robinson had been living in the area after moving from Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria last year.

Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers, while an investigation is still ongoing, police say.
Detective chief inspector Mark Haworth-Oates, of Lancashire Police’s major investigation team, said: ‘First and foremost our thoughts are with Fiona’s loved ones, who are going through unimaginable pain.
‘We are determined to provide answers for them and although we have charged someone our investigation is ongoing.
