If there’s one time you don’t want ITVX to go down, it’s during Love Island, right?
Well, sadly, the app and desktop site did go down during the ITV dating show, meaning many were forced to miss out on the drama of Casa Amor.
Viewers were met with a plain black screen when trying to access the streaming platform, while others said the stream kept ‘glitching’.
Some also received an error message, stating that the show ‘wasn’t available’ for them to watch, much to their anger.
‘Someone tell me what’s happened on love island so far cos itvx is trash and I’ve missed tonight’s episode so far’, one viewer ranted on Twitter.
‘ITVX has flopped Love Island for me this year’, another accused.

…but viewers are missing out due to technical ‘glitches’ (Picture: ITV)
Others branded it a ‘hugely disappointing platform’, while one labelled it a ‘joke’.
One individual tweeted: ‘@ITVX never works. Always buffers. Always goes off, always problems! Just a joke’.
‘ITVX is breaking me’, penned another despondent viewer.
This isn’t the first time technical faults have interrupted the 2023 Winter Love Island.
In fact, in the very first episode, viewers threatened to turn off due to a glitching app.
As the first episode saw 10 Islanders enter into couples, with a few steals along the way, both the ITVX app and the TV channel seemed to become overwhelmed.
As a result, fans missed out on golden moments and were left fuming, also questioning why they pay their TV license.
Others noted that the glitching only seemed to occur mid-episode, and not during the ad breaks, which fans surely wouldn’t have minded missing.

Although, there’s no denying that there’s plenty to be missing at the moment, with heads turning left, right, and centre as Casa Amor is well underway.
From farmer Will Young proving he isn’t as loyal to Jessie Wynter as she thought, to Olivia Hawkins forgetting Kai Fagan’s name just minutes after meeting the new group of guys, it appears no couple is safe.
ITV has been contacted for comment.
Love Island continues each night at 9pm on ITV2.
