A Love Island 2023 contestant has admitted to creating a catfish account in order to track down a guy she fancied.
The winter edition of the ITV juggernaut series kicked off on Monday, with Maya Jama, 28, presenting the dating show for the first time since taking over from Laura Whitmore.
From the off-set, the premiere was drama-packed, with three Islanders making a play for PE teacher Kai Fagan, while bombshell Tom Clare was announced as an unexpected arrival at the end of the hour-long episode.
And the second instalment of Love Island, which is being filmed in a £1.2million mansion nestled in South Africa’s wine region, promises to be just as gripping, with several explosive revelations set to be made.
Tuesday’s episode will see the Islanders invited to the first challenge of the series, which sees them airing their dirty laundry in front of their fellow contestants and, er, the nation.
The group will be divided into boys vs girls and they will each slide into a pool of foam where hidden props will give them clues and a giant pair of pants will reveal a secret.

Once the revelation is uncovered they will each have to snog the Islander they think it relates to, if they guess right, they will each win a point for their team.
Among the secrets to be uncovered will be the identity of the boy who had a foursome with his friend and two girls and the Islander whose special talent is pulling MILFS.
Viewers will also learn which girl describes her favourite sex position as “backshots”, as well as which girl made a catfish account to stalk a guy and got caught.
