Love Island contestant Ruchee Gurung saw her search for a soulmate come to an end in the opening minutes of Wednesday’s episode as she was dumped from the show.
The 24 year old beautician was left without a partner after a surprising re-coupling shook the villa.
Ruchee and Ella Thomas were the last two girls standing around the fire pit at the end of the following evening’s show after two new bombshells were given first pick of the men.
Once most of the islanders were coupled up, the virtual voice of God instructed them to chose either Ruchee or the Glasweigan model to save from a potential dumping.
Medhi Edno was tasked with delivering the news and said the group felt Ella had a better chance of finding a connection so sent Ruchee on her way.
As she packed her bag and left the villa, the budding star admitted: ‘I thought that I would be disappointed, but I’m not because I tried my best and I was myself. It didn’t work out for me and that’s completely fine.

‘I thought that Ella was going to get saved because she has a connection in there, I would have probably even nominated myself to go – I’m so happy that they chose her.
‘I’m glad I got to experience being in the Villa. Coming from an Asian background, I did it for my community – represent! My journey was short, but it was sweet, so I’m happy.’

The shake-up came after Ella and her former partner Tyrique Hyde argued over the footballer’s advances towards Leah Taylor – who ultimately picked him once the chance arose.
Despite being asked to go on a date with the new bombshell he admitted to Ella that she was in the back of his mind.
Asked whether he wants to get to know both of the girls, Tyrique said: ‘I don’t know. If I’m being honest, when I was on the dates you were in the back of my head still.

‘I said to them it would take a lot… if we have conversations and that, my mind could change, I told them I’m not fully closed off basically.’
