Love Island fans were more than happy to see Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan crowned series 9 winners – but there’s one person who probably isn’t so thrilled.
The Winter Love Island 2023 final saw Kai and Sanam battle it out for the £50,000 prize along with Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, and Tom Clare and Samie Elishi.
But only one couple could take the crown, resulting in Kai and Sanam making history, as she became the first Casa Amor bombshell to take the title.
Viewers of the ITV2 dating show will remember, though, that Kai and Sanam weren’t always loved-up, as he was previously paired with Olivia Hawkins… and what a ride that was, eh?
There’s no denying that the two had a turbulent relationship, which came to an end when they both decided to recouple after Casa.
Viewers went on to brand Olivia the series ‘villain’, as the 27-year-old clashed with just about everyone during her stint.

She was pied by Tom and clashed with Jessie Wynter and Zara Lackenby-Brown, before coupling up with Maxwell Samuda and becoming ‘official’, leaving the series together.
But it was her rows with PE teacher Kai that had everyone talking, as audiences at home accused her of ‘toxic’ behaviour, which even sparked complaints to Ofcom.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Kai and Sanam shippers are relishing in their win, with several Twitter users joking that Olivia will be ‘fuming’.
‘I can’t help but be so happy to think of how Olivia is feeling right now’, one fan laughed.
‘Olivia is deffo at home crying blood seeing Kai win and we love to see it’, penned another.
‘The public will make sure Olivia remembers Kai’s name now’, one viewer wrote in reference to Olivia previously forgetting Kai’s name after entering Casa Amor and meeting the new boys.

‘Olivia is seething’, another viewer tweeted.
One echoed: ‘Would love to see Olivia’s face’.

Many also joked that Kai deserved to win after he ‘refused’ to apologise to Olivia earlier on, a moment which also earned him great praise as he stood his ground.
The altercation highlighted just how indifferent Kai had become, as he and Olivia failed to ‘squash the beef’ they had created and Kai simply walked away, with viewers cheering his ‘unbothered’ attitude.
From that moment on, it seemed Kai was the nation’s winner.
Love Island is available to stream on ITVX.
