Loose Women viewers were disappointed at the show’s presenting panel after they left out any mention of ex-This Morning host Phillip Schofield in their opening teaser.
The daytime discussion show following on from ITV’s This Morning – hosted today by Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond – and was led by Ruth Langsford for the bank holiday extended episode.
Ruth was a former This Morning presenter herself and was the longest-serving host to sit on the couch when she left the show in 2022.
Amid the first few moments of the programme, fans took to Twitter to address the fixture’s lack of comment about Phillip’s recent exit from the channel’s breakfast segment.
The 61-year-old presenter stepped down from his presenting duties and admitted to partaking in an affair with a younger colleague.
One viewer penned: ‘@loosewomen @ITV NOT addressing the current situation with your ex colleague makes you look like cowards. If this had of been another celebrity (not associated with itv) I guarantee you would’ve been talking about it [sic].’

Another speculated: ‘“We got an extra 15 minutes. What on earth can we do? What can we talk about?” Im sure they can find something to discuss #LooseWomen [sic].’
‘There’s something really unsettling about This Morning and Loose Women continuing as if nothings happened [sic],’ a Twitter user commented.
Ruth’s appearance on the panel show followed her husband Eamonn Holmes controversial tweet in which he addressed his thoughts on Phillip’s statement earlier today.
The GB News presenter took to Twitter and wrote: ‘Schofield has just put out a delusional statement. Like Holly he puts it on Insta Stories so if it goes wrong there is no record after 24 hrs.

‘I’m reluctant to give the liar any more publicity but believe me Pip if u r looking for a fight , u have picked on the wrong person ! [sic].’
Eamonn’s loaded words came as a response to the former TV presenter’s address on Instagram that read: ‘Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it’s the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.
‘This Morning IS the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity. You can listen to those persistently loud voices if you like.

‘But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it IS a family of wonderful, talented, kind, hard working people.’
