London Clinic issues major update over Kate medical records ‘breach’
The chief executive of the London Clinic says ‘all appropriate investigatory, regulatory and disciplinary steps will be taken’ after an employee allegedly tried to access The Princess of Wales’ medical files.
A worker at the private hospital where Kate Middleton underwent planned abdominal surgery in January is alleged to have tried to view her private medical notes.
A source told The Mirror: ‘This is a major security breach and incredibly damaging for the hospital, given its unblemished reputation for treating members of the Royal Family.’
In a statement, London Clinic chief executive Al Russell said: ‘Everyone at the London Clinic is acutely aware of our individual, professional, ethical and legal duties with regards to patient confidentiality.
