Line of Duty actor Daniel Mays has left fans in hysterics by addressing his resemblance with The Traitors star Wilfred Webster.
Wilf made it to the end as the only Traitor to not be banished, before winners Meryl Williams, Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski took home the £101,050 prize.
Despite not winning the series, and notoriously backstabbing his fellow Traitors Amanda Lovett and Alyssa Chan and Kieran Tompsett, Wilf was heavily praised by viewers and his co-stars for going undetected until the very end.
However his resemblance to Daniel didn’t go unnoticed along the way.
Maddy Smedley, who was banished in the penultimate episode of The Traitors, shared a celebratory selfie with Wilf on social media, jokingly captioning: ‘Got a pic with @DanielMays9 #chuffed #thetraitors.’
To which Daniel replied: ‘My pleasure’ with a laughing emoji.
Viewers were in hysterics over the exchange, with one joking: ‘Daniel you were superb!’
Another echoed: ‘As soon as I saw Wilf I said he looked like you.’
‘Are you going to play Wilf in the dramatisation of the series Daniel?’ someone else asked.

Upon his identity finally being revealed, Wilf was in tears as he confirmed: ‘I’m a Traitor,’ before clarifying to the others that, no, he was not joking.
‘I can’t tell you how f***ing happy I am at the moment,’ he exclaimed. ‘I’m so happy for you guys.’
A tearful Wilf continued: ‘I’ve had to fight, and the more I’ve got to know you guys and had to try and steal money from you, it’s been really hard.

‘But honestly, I couldn’t go through this process without people that make me happy. You lot made me happy, you made me enjoy being here.
‘Every day I tried to play as a Faithful, I tried to enjoy my time here, and the only way I can do that is by having people like you around me, knowing that at least if this time ever comes, the money’s going to people I really like.’
The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
