Larry King, 87, the Legendary Talkshow host has been hospitalised at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has been receiving urgent medical care for more than a week.
The 87-year-old was reportedly diagnosed with the virus 10 days ago but has been in Critical COVID ward for about a week. It is understood that he has been communicating his immediate family, but we are currently seeking an update to his condition in the last 48 hours.

Later in his life, Larry King has been suffering from a few serious medical conditions. who has Type 2 diabetes, has confronted a series of medical issues over the years, including several heart attacks and quintuple bypass surgery in 1987. King revealed he had been diagnosed with lung cancer and successfully underwent surgery to treat it. He also underwent a procedure in 2019 to address angina.
Due to the strict COVID-19 protocols at the hospital, King’s three sons have not been able to visit him during his stay.
Over the summer, King lost his other two children within the span of a month. His son Andy, 65, died in July from a suspected heart attack. In August, King’s daughter Chaia, 52, died after battling lung cancer.
20 Million COVID-19 cases in the US
The U.S. set another record for most daily cases, despite some states not even reporting totals due to the New Year’s holiday.
There were a record 275,897 cases reported Saturday, even though seven states did not relay any data, according to The COVID-19 Tracking Project.
The US surpassed 20 million cases and New York has become the fourth state to cross 1 million COVID-19 cases, the governor announced Saturday. New York joined California, Texas and Florida in hitting that mark. Illinois, at over 975,000 cases, is likely to join those four in the coming days. California has already crossed 2 million cases.
