Kim Kardashian left fans confused over her latest interview (Picture: WireImage)
Kim Kardashian has raised eyebrows for her latest interview, with many questioning whether she actually understands what the word ‘woke’ means.
The 42-year-old was met with backlash for her appearance on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast earlier this week, after she explained that she cried herself to sleep over the stress of raising four children.
However, it looks like that anger has made way for all kinds of confusion as fans attempted to dissect her comments about ‘woke’ people on their ‘therapy journey’.
One segment of the chat – which ran for more than an hour – is currently doing the rounds on social media, showing the moment the Skims designer said: ‘There’s nothing worse [than] when someone is, like, so woke and they’re on this therapy journey and they expect you to be right there with them.
‘It’s a beautiful thing to sit back and watch people make mistakes.’
In the rest of the snippet, she continued: ‘[And] learn from their mistakes, grow and evolve, and just be there to hold their hand and support them.
‘I think that’s what anyone would want. I’ve seen so many people on these self-help journeys that just aren’t as happy. I think you have to just sit back and do what works for you, and move at your own pace, and understand that it’s okay that you’re not at the same level as someone else.
‘Everything happens the way it’s supposed to. I love people in their own journeys, I never try to be so preachy or think someone has to be in my place and at the level where I’ve evolved to.
‘It’s great when your friends have the same epiphanies as you and you want the same things, but then sometimes it’s just not like that.’
The Kardashians star’s reply left social media users scratching their heads, wondering if she’d had a moment to look up the definition of ‘woke’ before the podcast.

Just FYI Kim, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, woke is defined as ‘originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice’.
A look on Urban Dictionary offers the explanation: ‘Being aware… knowing what’s going on in the community (related to racism and social injustice)’.
Discussing her stance on Twitter, one questioned: ‘What does any of this have to do with being woke, Kimberly?’
‘Kimberly dear I dont think you know what the word woke means [sic],’ another suggested.

A follower agreed, claiming that the word has ‘lost all of its original meaning’.
‘Now people just sound stupid and uneducated when they say it,’ they added.
‘Did she just call going to therapy woke,’ a baffled Twitter user asked.
A fan joked: ‘Yes girl make your own definitions for words!’
As many more urged her to ‘define “woke” for the class’ after the ‘embarrassing’ commentary.
However, others revealed that they actually understood Kim’s stance and ‘agreed’ with what the businesswoman was attempting to say.
‘Never thought I would agree with Kim Kardashian,’ a commenter said.
One tweeted: ‘I hate to say it! But she’s right on the part where it’s a beautiful thing to sit back and watch people make mistakes!’
‘Most factual thing she’s ever said.’
