Metro – Kidnapped Alex walks free 

The Metro leads on a British boy who has been found in France after he went missing in 2017. Alex Batty was last seen in Spain when he was 11 years old, and an abduction investigation was launched following his disappearance. His mother and grandfather kidnapped him, taking him to live in a ‘spiritual community’. 

The paper says the search for the Brit ended in France, where he was picked up by a van driver after walking through the French mountains for days. It’s understood he escaped the ‘spiritual community’ and has since contacted his grandmother- who was his legal guardian at the time he went missing.
