Halloween is nearly here, and it’s a great excuse to make some spooky snacks.
These chocolate mini roll Frankensteins (or Frankenstein’s monsters, if you want to be pedantic…) are great fun to make with your kids, so are an activity and a tasty treat in one go.
Feel free to play around with different flavours and decorations, and pair with the Halloween recipes I’ll be sharing over the next few Sundays.

Ingredients:
Chocolate rollsWhite chocolate (melted)Green food colouring (or blue and yellow mixed)Candy eyesSprinklesSmarties
Method:
Start by melting your chocolate and mix in the food colouring. I didn’t have green so made it with yellow and blue. Dip the top of your chocolate roll into the melted chocolate and then into the sprinkles to create hairPlace on a dish lined with baking paper and add your eyes. For the ears I’ve cut a smartie in half and stuck to the side. Place the rolls in the fridge to set and enjoy!
