You’ll never guess who wished Maisie Smith a happy birthday – only Khloe Kardashian!

Now, the chronically online among you will remember the very bizarre moment when the Kardashian sister commented on Maisie’s Instagram photo back in 2020.

It was a precious interaction, though, as the reality star heaped praise on the EastEnders child actress.

Aged 19 at the time, Maisie shared a post where she spoke about how ‘insecure’ she has felt about her legs for several years, writing: ‘I hope this can help other people feel more confident about their own insecurities.’

Among those who sent messages of support was Khloe herself, who commented underneath: ‘You have the most beautiful legs!!!!! Envy worthy!!! I cannot build my legs for the life of me! So I’m drooling over yours. You are gorgeous!!!!!!’

Responding at the time in what quickly became a meme, Maisie wrote: ‘thanks chicken x’

Now, in a nod to the viral moment, Khloe has sweetly commented under another of Maisie’s posts – and she’s still got leg envy!

Taking to Insta, Maisie posed in a revealing pink outfit as she holidayed in Dubai on her 22nd birthday.

Khloe later commented: ‘Happy birthday queen!!!! My leg inspiration! 😍😍 blessings to you gorgeous! 💋’

Replying to the TV star, Maisie once again used her pet name for Khloe.

‘Will spot your squats ANY TIME girl 💪🏼 thanks again x chick x’, the Strictly Come Dancing star penned.

Naturally, the internet went wild.

‘it’s the fact she doesn’t follow her so she just actively seeks her out… i’m obsessed’, they added.

Maisie – who is dating The Wanted’s Max George, 34 – previously said it ‘meant a lot’ that Khloe went out of her way to say that ‘she thought I was beautiful’.

‘It was mental. I still can’t believe she even saw that post, let alone commented on it. It was just… it was incredible,’ Maisie told Metro.co.uk and other press.

‘Women supporting women – I stand for it.’

The soap star said that she believed Khloe received ‘a lot of support’ for her comment as well, as it’s ‘really lovely’ when people with her level of fame ‘go around and comment on young women’s photos just giving them support’.

‘I think that’s just really lovely,’ she stated.

‘It did mean a lot to me that she went out of her way and took her time to actually just sit here and say that she thought I was beautiful. It meant a lot.’

Meanwhile, Maisie is still all loved up with her boyband boyfriend, who also took to social media for a special birthday tribute (sorry, Max, Khloe takes precedence with this one).

Sharing a series of snaps from their romantic getaway, Max wrote: ‘Happy birthday my gorgeous girl. Every day with you is…. Different 🤪😅..I LOVE it. You’re the most special person in my life. I love you Mais 💕’

The pair have remained rock solid despite criticism for their age difference and have hit out at the backlash.

Maisie addressed their topical age gap with The Sun, saying: ‘If it wasn’t that, it would be something else. 

‘People don’t understand what goes on behind closed doors in a relationship and I think they also forget that I’m a consenting 21-year-old woman who’s actually been working longer than Max!

‘I don’t notice the age difference and neither do my friends or family. My mum Julia is the one who reads through all the comments. 

‘I got a message from her yesterday, saying: “Just ignore them, you two were made for each other”’.
