Kelsey Parker has expressed how hard Christmas is going to be without her late husband Tom Parker, stressing how ‘lonely’ someone can feel even when in a room full of people.
In March this year, The Wanted star Tom died at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour in 2020.
In a statement released by Kelsey at the time, she said: ‘Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
Later this month, Kelsey, 32, will face her first Christmas with her children without Tom, having welcomed their daughter Aurelia in 2019 and their son Bodhi in 2020.
On Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, she appeared on the programme to discuss how her loss has impacted her life, while looking ahead to the festive period.
‘You could be in a room full of people and still feel lonely. Because people don’t understand how I feel. It’s really hard for my friends and family, because they can’t imagine how I actually feel,’ she said.

‘Christmas is going to be so tough for me this year. Last year Aurelia did understand the Christmas process and this year she’s a year older.
‘Tom’s not going to be there this year. We’re not going to wake up to Christmas morning together as a family. It’s going to be me and the kids.’
Kelsey recently shared that some people cross the road rather than speak to her because they ‘don’t know what to say’ following Tom’s death.

‘They feel awkward around me; they cross the street to avoid me. They don’t know what to say,’ she told The Times.
‘I want to say, “There is more to me than Tom being dead”.’
She added: ‘They’ll hate me for saying it, but the majority of the men in my family would rather have their heads buried in a hole in the garden than talk about it.
‘But death is the one thing guaranteed to happen to us. It’s almost as if we’re all scared to die.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
