In a rare admission, Junior Andre has opened up about what it’s like to grow up with showbiz parents Katie Price and Peter Andre.
The 17-year-old doesn’t talk much about his famous mum and dad, who met during their stint on I’m A Celebrity in 2004 before splitting five years later after having Junior and his sister, 15-year-old Princess.
Junior has previously said he would also love to appear on I’m A Celebrity one day, but of late he’s been busy following in his father’s footsteps and carving out his own music career.
The son of the Mysterious Girl hitmaker shot to prominence last year after his first single Slide climbed to the top of the charts within hours of its release, waving see’ya to Harry Styles and Lady Gaga as it rose.
Although intent on making his own success, Junior has divulged details of what it was like growing up with famous parents in a recent social media Q&A.
Responding to a fan, the Slide singer said the ‘most negative’ part of growing up in the public eye is that he’s got ‘no privacy’.

‘Everyone’s watching your next move, your next step, you have no privacy, and that’s the most negative thing you know,’ he said.
‘Sometimes I think you just want to be normal, feel free and that’s sort of taken away from you because you have to be conscious of what you’re doing all the time.’
In the Instagram Q&A, the singer also said he’d love to live abroad one day as he ‘can’t live in this English weather forever, there’s no way’.
He continued: ‘It actually gets depressing in the winter. It’s too cold, and I go grey, I go grey! I don’t like it. It makes me sad. Sunshine is my key to happiness.’

This summer Junior will be hoping to catch some rays while performing at his first music festival in August at Camp Bestival, alongside Eurovision star Sam Ryder, Primal Scream, Rudimental and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Junior signed a record deal with Columbia Records last August, which he said was a ‘dream come true’.

Dad Pete, 49, couldn’t be prouder of his son’s musical ambitions, as when Slide was released he took to social media and said, ‘What a day today son. Super proud’, alongside a snap of the pair looking chuffed.
Junior clearly looks up to his popstar dad, as he replied: ‘Love you dad.’
