Katie Price has explained her mysterious absence from social media on Christmas Day.
The former glamour model is normally active on her Instagram account but was noticeably quiet on Sunday, with her feed mostly void of the Christmas content typically shared by her celebrity peers, save for a photo of her dinner plate.
However, she returned on Boxing Day to confirm that she did spend the special day with all five of her children – Harvey, 20, Junior, 17, Princess, 15, Jett, nine, and Bunny, eight – but chose to keep their day offline.
She revealed in an Instagram post: ‘Hope you all had a good Christmas I had such a good Christmas Day with all my babies officialprincess_andre @officialjunior_andre @officialmrharveyprice Bunny & Jett.
‘Decided not to show pictures as wanted one day private.’
On Christmas Eve, Katie, 44, had shared a glimpse of her life at home with a short clip of eldest son Harvey sleeping in bed beside her.

‘Already Harvey’s home and getting in my bed like a baby wanting cuddles,’ she told her followers.
Harvey was born with partial blindness, ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome and moved out of the family home earlier this year after landing a place at a residential college.
Her son Junior and daughter Princess appeared to split their Christmas Day as their dad Peter Andre shared a photo of them at his home, alongside wife Emily Andre and their two children Amelia, eight, and Theodore, six.
‘I’m the happiest dad/ husband alive this morning. Merry Christmas everyone,’ he wrote in an Instagram post.
It’s believed to have been Katie’s first Christmas without ex-fiance Carl Woods following their split last month after more than two years together.
Rumours later emerged that the My Crazy Life star had been messaging Love Island’s Adam Collard, but both have denied the claims.
Clearing up the reports, Adam, 27, told Metro.co.uk: ‘I didn’t text her technically, it was Instagram, we’re not actually that close. I don’t think she quite denied the fact that we’ve spoken at all.
‘I think she just denied the fact that the headlines, which were obviously incorrect, suggested that there were ulterior motives – and she was completely right.
‘You’ve got to respect the fact that she is a mum of five kids, and she doesn’t want headlines online around someone who is probably not far off the age of people a lot younger in her family. And I think that’s fair enough.’
