A Just Stop Oil protester has appeared in court accused of filling 12 fire extinguishers with paint and causing criminal damage.
Oliver Rock, 42, allegedly kept the extinguishers in his garage along with other equipment used to ‘lock on’.
This is an illegal practice which makes it difficult for police to remove protesters.
Rock, of Southwark, inner London, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today after his arrest on Thursday.
Rock pleaded not guilty to having articles with intent to cause criminal damage and being equipped to lock on.
Prosecutor Michael Mallon said several items associated with Just Stop Oil were found in the garage and he was ‘clearly’ a part of the environmental campaign group.
